Doyun Lee received his PhD in Physiology from Seoul National University in 2007. He established the Doyun Lee Lab as an independent research group at the Center for Memory and Glioscience, Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in June 2015.
His research focuses on understanding the neural mechanisms underlying social cognition, with a particular emphasis on how the brain represents and processes social identity information. The lab employs a combination of advanced in vivo recording techniques, two-photon calcium imaging, and carefully designed behavioral paradigms.
Since 2020, he holds the position of Senior Research Fellow at IBS.
